Hi Kimbo,
What have you been up to lately? That is cool that you went to Elder Shumway’s homecoming!! How did that go? Did you get to talk to him much? He actually called me the other day and talk to me! haha He isn’t supposed to do that but he just called to ask for your guys' number again and just tell me how weird it is to him to be home and what not. I am really glad you guys got to meet him! I can’t believe the baby Brockles has turned 15 and is getting his permit soon!! That just seems so crazy to me!! He seems way to young to be sitting behind the wheel in the car!! That is good that a bunch of kids came over, I hope he had a good birthday. That’s cool that Coco and KK came over, how are they doing? I can’t believe Harley is getting home or is already home!! He is the first of the group to get back then slowly one by one we will all be back home again! That is crazy to think about!! That is cool to hear that SF won state in baseball and softball! I though the baseball team was struggling? How is Ty enjoying Connecticut? I hope he is doing well out there, I haven’t heard a whole lot from him. That’s good to hear that he is having a lot of success though, I hope staying there all summer is worth it!! So yeah this last week I was transferred, but I wasn’t transferred very far! I just moved to the area that borders my old area. I now serve in McAllen like the actual city part, our area is huge though so we cover like 4 or 5 different cities. I was made a Zone Leader and my comp came from a different area so we are actually white washing this area together. This is the first time they have ever white washed a zone leader area so it is a little different but things are going good! It is kinda weird not working in my area as much, we usually always have some kind of meeting or exchange or split or something just about every single day and then at night we always have to do follow ups with all the district leaders in our zone so there isn’t a whole lot of time to relax but that is great. We always have tons going on but I am really enjoying it. My companion goes home here in five weeks at the end of the transfer then I will get a new comp again so hopefully he doesn’t "die" to hard. (when someone goes home that means they die). We actually have the mission president and his wife in our area and we are the only missionaries that go to their ward so it is a little nerve racking but it is really cool at the same time. They invited us to come over tomorrow and eat and do a family home evening with them so that should be really cool but at the same time very stressful! haha But I am sure everything will go great. This ward we are working in has had a lot of problems with missionaries, that is why they took both missionaries out and just put the ZLs in here, and we meet with President Maluenda every so often to talk about the ward and to try to fix things because they just don’t work with missionaries very well and just don’t like baptizing at all, and I love baptizing so I am sure I will learn a lot of patience here! So I will always be around the mission office, I have to do a lot of stuff in there so just send anything to the mission office address,
200 W La Vista Ave
McAllen, Tx 78501
That is cool that you have talked to E. Eisenhut’s mom, it would be a lot of fun to get together with them sometime! I really love Elder Eisenhut a lot. He is actually with Elder Acosta now, he is from SF also. I had no idea he was even coming to this mission then he came and grabbed me at transfers and I was so confused when I saw him! haha His dad is the Acosta guy that helped the football team, Kev knows the kid really well I believe. The Cavasos want us to come back and visit so badly, because they cant go north at all so they really want us to come down after the mission, along with a lot of other members. I would love to come down here with you guys and have you meet a lot of people. But other than that it has just been a crazy busy week with a lot of change, but I am getting the hang of things and things are going great! I hope everything is going good there at home, I love you mommy!!

HI Kimbo, How are you doing?? What have you been up to this last week? That is crazy to here about little Morgilou!! What is she modeling for? Did she go do that tryout thingy? That is crazy to hear that she is up on a runway being a model! Is she making money doing that? That’s cool that the missionaries came over, yes I know an Elder Jones, there are actually two of them here in the mission and I know both of them really well. One is from England and I don’t know where the other one is from but I imagine it is him. Ty is making some pretty good money out there then? How much is he plan on making? Do you know? That party that you saw, that was an older couple in the ward that just got home from a mission down in Mexico so they threw a big welcome home party. I am still yet to find out what is going on with transfers... . All we know is that Elder Eisenhut is going to be getting a new comp but we don’t know if that means he is leaving the area or if I will be leaving the area or if both of us are going to leave. I hope we find out here soon, we have gone and said bye to a lot of the members already just incase we leave, because it is certain that one of us leave and very possible that they move us both if I become a zone leader but I guess we will just have to wait to see what happens. If I leave I am going to be up all night packing, after being here for 6 months I have gotten a lot of crap and I am going to have to get rid of a lot of stuff I imagine. So the family that we were going to baptize yesterday didn’t end up getting baptized.. The dad all of the sudden just stopped it all and said they cant go to our church anymore because he wants them to only go to his Christian church. We were with them on Saturday night and we were making plans for the baptism and everything then boom all of the sudden the dad stepped in and shut it all down. The girls were super bummed in the family, they really want to keep going to church and really want us to keep coming by to visit them but for now the dad says we cant come by anymore. It sucked hearing about it and that they weren’t going to be getting baptized anymore, but I know they will get baptized one day because they all have goals to finish the Book of Mormon and say that as soon as they move out of their dads house they the first thing they are going to do is go to our church. Tuesday, Wed, and Thurs. I got to work with Elder Shumway which was a lot of fun, I stayed in McAllen with him and the other APs and we had a lot of fun, we had meetings pretty much all day on all 3 days then got to work for just a couple hours at night. Elder Shumway and that huge group of missionaries all go home this Wednesday, I cant believe that they are all going home already! That seemed like forever away when I was with Elder Shumway a year ago and boom now they are leaving! Time is flying!!!! Anyways I hope you have a great week Kimbo, I love you!

Hi Mommy, it was so great to get to see you and talk to you yesterday!! It is kinda crazy that Ty is on one side of the country, I am on the very bottom of the country and you guys are up there but we were all still able to communicate! Your little family has shot all over the country! Here before long though, we will all be back in our NEW home:) Thanks for friending that lady, she was baptized not to long ago and is awesome. She sees that you and Sister Cavasos talk sometimes and she keeps telling me she wants to be able to talk to my mom too! haha She really wants to come up to Utah and visit us when I get back but she has the problem they call "Valley Locked." Because of the 2nd migration border like 10 miles north and the border of the country south so she can’t go anywhere north or south because she crossed over illegally. That is the problem with most of the Mexicans down here. Same with the Cavasos family. That is awesome to hear about Spike and Rachel!! How are they doing? They still in Tennessee?? That is too bad to hear about Sherwin, I hope he doesn’t beat himself up to much over that. Poor Sherwy, there is always something happening with that guy! Sorry, I don’t have much to tell you today, I can’t think of anything I didn’t tell you yesterday that I could tell you! I will send some pics though! I hope you have a great week though!! I am going to send you home a thumb drive with tons of my mission pics for mothers day, I just need to find something to put it in and I will send it to you soon!! I hope you had the best mothers day and I sure hope Daddy and Brockles spoiled you!! I love you mommy!!

Hey Kimbo, how are you doing?? The Payson Temple looks amazing, it sounds like it would be really cool to be able to work in there for a little bit! I am excited to go to it as soon as I get home!! Here on the mish I have learned to love to study, I feel like I have become a little bit of a nerd about learning doctrine.. but I really enjoy it and I have learned a lot of things about the temple and a lot of things that I hadn’t ever thought of or noticed and things make a LOT more sense now, like I have studied everything in a lot of depth and so I am super excited to be able to go to the temple as soon as I get home! How is Ty enjoying Connecticut?? Does he just work all day every day or how does that work? If you talk to him tell him to write me and tell me about it. So about SKYPE, I will call you after 5, like probably around 6ish, this time, because church here doesn’t get over till 1 then we always have meetings with the bishopric and what not. When we figure that all out I will have Hermana Cavasos send you a message or something to let you know. I talked to Jessica’s comp a little about her family because we visit her family every Thursday right now so she asks us to do certain things with them sometimes. But yeah like I will see her every Thursday and Sunday till I leave, so you could definitely send her with something if you want because I will see her a lot. This last week was super good here, we are still working with the Ramos family. They are super sick (sick in a good way, not ill). They read the Book of Mormon a lot and always sit there during the lessons with their journals and take notes and they are just super cool. The mom of the family told us the other day that she loves us as if we were her own kids! haha They are great and we are super excited for their baptism on the 17th so please pray for them! I have been super blessed during my mission to meet so many cool people and be apart of their conversion! We Have been helping out a family that we just recently baptized this last week break out their cement around their house because they are going to move the house! haha They don’t move to a different house here, they just move houses;) So we went over and swung some sledge hammers for a while this last week which was a super good workout and we are about half way done! We should finish it this week hopefully! Last night I had a problem with a sister in my district, she got mad about me correcting something and gave me some lip about it and what she said was ridiculous, so this morning I sat down with her and her comp and jacked her pretty good. It was something she definitely needed especially after what she said last night, so that was pretty exciting! Other than that things have been going pretty good with the sisters.. Two weeks from today I imagine I will be getting moved out of the area, and also my papi Elder Shumway will be dying too which is sad!! Things here are going good though, we have made some really good relationships with so many of the members here so it will be sad leaving! But I hope you have a great week mommy, I love you!
Talk to you Sunday!!
